signe & genna grushovenko are a husband/wife collaborative team living and working in greenville, south carolina. genna creates a bold, abstract underpainting upon which signe applies a figurative painting in oil, leaving lots of little windows open to the underpainting. the grushovenko's imagery is harvested from vintage, vernacular photos centered on themes of community connection and the beauty of common, everyday moments.
